Most small businesses do not have an IT problem until they suddenly do

It works like this. There is no IT person, so it falls to whoever is most comfortable with computers. That works fine at five people. At twelve it is costing that person a day a week and they are not being paid for it.

Then something real happens. Email stops arriving. A laptop with client data on it goes missing. An invoice gets paid to the wrong bank account because somebody spoofed a supplier. The backup nobody had checked turns out not to have been running since March.

None of that is a technology problem. It is a nobody-owns-this problem. That is the bit I fix, and it is considerably cheaper to fix before the bad day than after it.

What I do

Three things, done properly, by one person who you will actually get to know.

Why people call me instead of an IT company

You get me, not a queue

The person who answers the phone is the person who does the work, and who will remember your setup next time. No ticket number, no account manager, nobody reading your history before they can help.

I turn up

With my own vehicle, at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends when that is less disruptive than taking your systems down mid morning. Remote is faster when the problem allows it. Some things need a person in the room.

Nothing is locked in

No twelve month agreement, no notice period, no monthly fee per user. You call when you need me. If that is twice a year, that is fine.

I will tell you not to spend money

I sell my time, not hardware or licences, so I have nothing to gain from recommending a system you do not need. If your current setup has three good years left, that is what you will hear.

You can see what it costs before you call

Most IT firms will not tell you anything until you are on the phone with someone whose job is selling. Here is the short version.

New starter set up and onboarded £140
Half day on site £280
Full day on site £450
Annual security and backup review £350
Half day training for the group £550
UK hosting from £9.95 a month
